The time has arrived! ...Almost!

Sigh... it is midnight yet? My clock tells me no, which sucks. What sucks even harder is the knowledge that so many people are already in Northrend. Damn them and their timezones! I have been counting down all day. Work tried to distract me there for a while but to no avail! Not surprising really, work rarely holds my attention for long.

So, thinking back, I have been trying to remember how crazy it was when Burning Crusade was released, and comparing to that to how I feel now. I know I haven't sat in line and struck up random conversations with strangers yet. So it is pretty hard to compare, but, I think I was more excited last time. That is not to say that I am not excited right now... just not as much as last time.

6:57pm!! Damn it! only 10 minutes since I last checked the time!

I have also decided that since I play on a US server I am not logging in until I have the expac installed. I don't hate myself that much! But it does mean that I am at a loss for something to do right now. So here I am, between typing this and updating my twitter every other minute I should be set... well for a little while at least.

1 Sleep to go!

It was the night before the midnight release and... I left work an hour early today to buy pajamas! If you think that is pretty insane, I left things unfinished in my rush to get there before the shop closed. But I now have pj's with robots all over them so I am happy.

I have completed half of the supplies shopping that I need to do, but I have left the all important redbull until tomorrow. Basically the supermarket really pissed me off this afternoon (people! ugh!) and I couldn't stay in there for a moment longer, not even for redbull.

Now my server just has to come back online so that I can squeeze in a few more achievements before tomorrow!

2 sleeps to go!

If you can't tell, this is a countdown. I know it's a pretty slack one, starting with 3 sleeps... wow, I can count to 3! Yay!

Now I thought I would talk about my plan of attack for the midnight release...

1. Snacks, energy drinks, premade dinners - All these are pretty essential necessities.
2. PJs (new ones) - hey, you have to be comfy and I love pajamas!
3. Afternoon nap - this one is something I would like to do, but it may be wishful thinking.
4. Nerd T-shirt... a must have!

All of this may sound slightly psychotic to some of you, and reading it back to myself... it kinda does to me too. But that is what WoW is to me. I promise I am actually quite sane, although I suspect sanity is overrated. Right? (Humor me :P).

3 Sleeps to go!

Don't you just hate it when you know you have forgotten something but you just can't figure out what? That's how I feel about this blog post. I had the really good idea for a post this morning (you are just going to have to take my word for it) and now it is gone. Banished from my brain to make room for useless TV trivia.

Yes! There are 3 sleeps to go! 3 sleeps until Wrath of the Litch King comes out and I disappear from the real world, not to be seen for at least a month. Coincidentally, there are 3 sleeps to go until my internet returns to normal speed and I can live again! That sounded less pathetic in my head... ;)

Oh man, not good.

I guess I always knew that I was addicted to technology. All the evidence was there, staring at me (unblinking, staring evidence!). I mean, I have been heard uttering the phrase "I am addicted to technology" on more than one occasion. So it shouldn't have come as a surprise that I reacted the way I did today... but, it really still did.

The short story is...

iPhone, it decided not to work. Me, I decided to panic. I was mid tweet!!

All is well though, my iPhone is alive again, but the panic that I felt for those 30 minutes today was pretty sad. Man I love my iPhone!

A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT... Gone wrong?

The Hypothesis:

This blog will exist primarily to amuse myself and no one else.

(I do feel that as hypotheses go, this is a pretty safe bet)

The Introduction:

I guess I always thought that if were to start a blog, I would first need to have some thing to blog about. Hmmm... Then I thought: "Your a scientist, where's the existing evidence that supports this theory?!"

Giving myself a mental pat on the head (aww), I decided, what the hell... and here I am.

*crickets*

The Procedure:

1. Type insightful, witty words.
2. No one reads them
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2

The Conclusion:

Man, already?
